AMATO

Marketplace for locals

Amato exists to solve a distinctly Lithuanian problem: the country has a rich ecosystem of local producers — farmers, craftsmen, food artisans, woodworkers — but no shared infrastructure to connect them with buyers who want to support local. The name Amato (Italian for 'beloved') was chosen to signal something more than commerce — a relationship with the people and land behind what you eat and use. The visual identity draws from that warmth: parchment backgrounds, forest greens, terracotta accents that feel like Lithuanian autumn. The platform design took cues from Airbnb's seller-first model: every producer gets a full profile page with their story, specialties, and location. Buyers don't just buy a product — they buy from a person.
